Wedding Log
to matthew:
i hear a vintage vacation calling our names. and it sounds oh-so-sweet.
We need to encorporate this into the wedding somehow.
End of story.
So glad I don’t have a diamond. Thanks, Matthew.

Celebrating Generosity
One of the perks of getting married is that everyone wants to buy you cool new stuff! Having lived on our own for a few years, though, Matt and I have already amassed two full bedroom sets, muliple bookshelves and enough gadgets and plates to fill a large kitchen.
Thus, one of the many things Matt and I have really struggled with while traveling through the wedding industrial complex is the idea of registering for gifts. We have so much, and are told everytime we enter a store that we need so much more to start our lives together. And with the mindset that people want to buy us things, and will anyway, it’s been difficult to stick with only the things we really need.
I am pleased to see that someone has created a way for charaties to benefit from purchases that are made anyway. The I Do Foundation takes a percentage of what is spent on you by guests and donates it back to a couple’s favorite charity. Matt and I are already registered at both Target and REI, two corporations involved in this charity.
Now all that’s left is figuring out a way to make sure gifts are purchased online through this organization…
